FREE yoga at Kidderminster's Brinton Park

Tristan Harris 8th May, 2026

PEOPLE can take part in free yoga classes at 9.30am every Sunday morning in Brinton Park, Kidderminister.

The one hour sessions run each week between now and mid-September. They are run by Park Yoga – a national charity delivering community yoga in more than 60 towns and cities across England.

The aim is to bring communities together to meet new people and practise yoga in an inclusive and relaxing environment.

No experience is needed to join the classes – they are beginner friendly and suitable for all ages and abilities.

The scheme is being funded by Worcestershire’s County Council and Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire – Park Yoga is supported by Yogi Tea which will be giving out tea samples for their blends of herbal tea during the summer.

Brand director for Yogi Tea at Euro Food Brands, Irene Ippolito, said she was truly delighted about the new partnership between Yogi and Park Yoga as two organisations had shared values of mindfulness, wellbeing and community.

Free parking is available at the park and the town centre is in walking distance.

Classes will still go ahead in light rain.

If weather conditions are particularly wet, participants will be informed of a class cancellation with at least an hour’s notice via the Park Yoga Kidderminister page on Facebook and the Park Yoga website.

Participants can donate to the charity if they want – online or through contactless donations available every Sunday.

Director of Park Yoga, Cathi Farrer-Mitchell, said: “You don’t need any specific equipment, just a yoga mat if you have one. But, if not, a blanket or towel works perfectly.

“Come along and give it a go – you won’t regret it.”
