Big splash made at Little Trinity Nursery swimming lessons

Ryan Smith 18th May, 2026

THERE were plenty of smiles, laughs and memories made when Kidderminster youngsters took to the water to showcase the progress they have made during swimming lessons, writes Stan Mills.

The children all started at Little Trinity Nursery last September.

Families attended this special swimming session to see how far the Yellow Bumblebee class has come. During the last seven months, they had grown in confidence and skill as they swam, splashed and moved through the water with determination and excitement.

There was a heart-warming atmosphere and encouragement from friends and family who attended and clapped, smiled and shared in the children’s achievements.

Little Trinity Nursery manager, Gaynor Carter, said: “Swimming is such a valuable life skill.

“It helps children stay safe around water, supports their physical development and, most importantly, builds confidence.

“Seeing the pride on their faces as they show their parents and families what they can do is incredibly special.”

The nursery said early water awareness and confidence was vital, as drowning remained one of the main causes of accidental death in children, especially between the ages of one and four.

Gaynor added: “It’s truly rewarding for our team to watch each child’s progress over the nursery year and to share these moments with families.

“Events like this remind us why we do what we do.

“It’s a lovely, feel-good occasion that brings everyone together.”
