Kidderminster runner to take on Peak District Challenge for Stroke Association

Kidderminster Editorial 20th May, 2026

A KIDDERMINSTER man will take on the gruelling 2026 Peak District Ultra Challenge for the Stroke Association, writes Stan Mills.

Jay Chadwick – who has previously raised cash for charity, generating an average £300 for each cause chosen – will participate in the event in Derbyshire.

The race, based in Bakewell on July 4 and 5, will see Jay take on a 10-mile course through the breathtaking scenery of the Peak District National Park.

Jay will be joined by hundreds of participants including walkers, joggers and runners, all raising funds for their chosen charities.

The Ultra Challenge Series event gives full support to those involved, with hospitality, food stations, camping options and medals for finishers.

Jay has taken part in fundraising events previously across the region, generating cash for charities including Kemp Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Stroke Association.
