AN APPEAL has been launched for funding after 100 rabbits were found dumped in woodland in Chaddesley Corbett this morning (Tuesday).
A total of 56 were caught and have been secured in a couple’s shed to keep them safe.
A total of 16 males and 40 females – many suspected to be pregnant – have been taken in.
Staff at the local small rescue centre, run by Heather’s home by a small team of four, say the animals were ‘in a bad way’.
Once recovering from their ordeal, all the rabbits will need neutering/spaying and vaccinating.
A further more in-depth update will be given, once they have all been assessed.
The team looking after them have created a ‘wish list’ of things they need and launched a fundraising page.
