A POPULAR town club celebrated its 10th anniversary in style by hosting the first ever amateur boxing show at Kidderminster Town Hall.
Mikeys Boxing Gym’s event on May 7 marked a decade of dedication, hard work and commitment to developing local boxing talent.
Supporters, families and boxing fans filled the venue to create a fantastic atmosphere throughout the evening.
A total of 13 boxers from the Mikeys team stepped into the ring to showcase their talent, determination and months of preparation.
The night proved to be a huge success for the club with the team recording an impressive set of results. They finished with three skills bouts, eight victories and just two losses.
Each bout brought excitement and energy with the home crowd cheering loudly for every boxer representing the gym.
From the opening bell to the final contest, the event highlighted the strength and progress of the club as it continues to grow within the local boxing community.
The club said it extended a huge thank you to its sponsors – GP Autos, ADSAFE and Circet Academy. Their support helped make the event possible and continues to support the development of local boxing talent.
And Mikeys said special recognition must also go to its coaches and volunteers whose hard work, dedication and countless hours behind the scenes had helped build the club over the past decade.
“Their commitment to developing young athletes, building confidence, and creating opportunities within the community was clear for everyone to see on a memorable night for the gym.
“The evening was not only a celebration of boxing, but also a celebration of community spirit, marking a proud and unforgettable chapter in the 10-year journey of Mikeys Boxing Gym.”
