AN ANIMAL charity which took in rabbits found dumped in woodland in Chaddesley Corbett says it is ‘overwhelmed’ with people’s donationsto help care for the animals.

The Lucky Bunny and Friends Rescue put out an appeal on Tuesday for donations to help care for the rabbits, including an Amazon wish list.

The next day, they were staggered with the response and the amount of items.

They said: “You guys are amazing, never in our wildest dreams did we think we would ever receive a donation delivery this big.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank you all enough.

“We have so many more people to thank and you have all been amazing – we are lost for words for your kindness.”

Around 100 rabbits were dumped in the Chaddesley Corbett woodland on Tuesday, sadly only around 26 have survived and the RSPCA have put out an appeal for help catching the culprits.

The rabbits which have survived are now being cared for by the Lucky Bunny and Friends Rescue.
