GROUPS across Kidderminster are being urged to apply for grants to help fund cultural events.
The rallying call to town organisations comes from the Mayor of Kidderminster, Coun George Connolly.
He said: “We are proud to support cultural events that celebrate the rich diversity and heritage of our community
“This grant funding reflects our commitment to fostering creativity, strengthening community bonds and making the arts accessible to all.
“By investing in these events, we’re not only preserving our traditions but also creating vibrant experiences that bring people together and enrich our town for years to come.”
Coun Mary Rayner, Chairman of Civic and Events, told the Standard: “Our town is rich in history, filled with traditions that deserve to be celebrated and preserved for generations to come.
“This grant will enable our communities to embrace and enjoy local events that highlight our heritage, bringing people e together to honour our past, whilst building a vibrant future.”
Applications for the Cultural Events Grants close at midday on Sunday, December 1.
