Police appeal and warning after trailer thefts in Chaddesley and Blakedown

POLICE are warning owners of trailers to be vigilant after a number were stolen across Chaddesley and Blakedown over the last few days.

Yesterday (Thursday), an Ifor Williams trailer, double axle, limited edition with red interior was taken from a yard on Tanwood Lane, Chaddesley, sometime between 8.30am and 11.50am.

Two men were also seen yesterday (Thursday) in Bournes Green, Chaddesley, acting suspiciously in a Nissan Navara – it was reddish brown in colour.  One of the men was seen jumping over fences on a farm, whilst the other remained in the car as a look-out. They were disturbed by the farmer and made their escape.

Then at 12.20pm yesterday (Thursday) an  Ifor Williams, four-wheel trailer was stolen from a driveway on Belbroughton Road, Blakedown, Two men were seen loading the trailer onto a dark grey pick up truck, possibly a VW.

Police want anyone with information or CCTV or doorbell footage in the areas where the thefts took place to get in touch with officers on 101 or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
