Bewdley's boozers given thumbs up by Great British Pub Crawl guru

Ryan Smith 19th Jun, 2026

THE MAN behind the pub crawl page that has become a social media sensation was very impressed as he visited some of Bewdley’s best watering holes.

The Great British Pub Crawl, run by former publican Dale Harvey, visited Bewdley last week and stopped at 22 hostelries in the town.

Dale gave positive reviews for every one and was very complimentary about several of the more traditional pubs.

He visited The Rising Sun, which he described as a ‘sweet looking traditional little pub’, before moving on to The Old Wagon and Horses.

The pub crawl then moved on to The Great Western, which he said was an ‘absolute belting looking boozer’.

From there, he moved on to The Rustic, The Hop Pole, The black Boy, the Horn and Trumpet, the Wyre Inn Microbar and The White Swan.

Other drink stops included The Talbot, The Little Pack Horse, Bewdley Brewery, The Courtyard, Orilla, The Arches, The Bewdley Inn, The Cock and Magpie and The Mug House.

And the day ended with stops at The Retreat, The Real Ale Tavern, The George Hotel and Mo’s Bar.

Dale said: “I’ve never been to Bewdley before in my life.

“Everyone has talked it up and said how beautiful it is.”

The Great British Pub Crawl Facebook page currently boasts 228,000 followers.

It sees Dale and his wife, Holly, travel across the country to various towns and cities in a bid to promote as many British pubs as possible.
