A SMALL distillery based in Bewdley is celebrating after winning awards for its artisan gin.
Hinton’s Gin was set up by Nick Hinton nine years ago after being trained in the drinks trade back in the 1990s.
The producer has become renowned for its spirits and prides itself on making everything the best it can be.

Staff forage to source all their ingredients locally and have their ethos ‘Branch to Bottle’ on its logo.
This year, it entered its offerings – Bewdley Gin, Worcestershire Cherry Gin and Damson Gin Liqueur – into the London Spirit Competition.
The global competition is entered by world leading manufacturers and a highly respected award.

Bewdley and Cherry both won silver medals and the Damson Gin Licqueur took a gold medal and was one point off a double gold.
It became the highest rated UK produced liqueur and fought off top competition from international and national favourites.
Hinton’s damsons were supplied by Bewdley Farm Shop, sourced from Orchard Farm.

Nick said: “It was a real branch to bottle chain from three Worcestershire businesses.
“And it also shows small family businesses can take on global names and win.
“From a small fruit farm, to a local farm shop, to a small home run distillery, this is proof Worcestershire can take on the world for quality.”
