Whisky Galore and more as summer fete comes to St Mary's Church in Harvington

Tristan Harris 28th Jun, 2026

THE ANNUAL summer fete at St Mary’s Church in Harvington, near Kidderminster, will take place from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, July 4.

The quintessentially English traditional village fete will be held in The Priest’s Garden from 1pm to 5pm.

The ancient parish church of St Mary’s is opposite Harvington Hall, near Chaddesley Corbett.

The fabric of the historic building is maintained with proceeds raised from various fund-raising events, such as the summer fete.

Among the attractions on offer will be a brass band performance, a bottle tombola, children’s activities and games on the expansive lawns and a grand raffle. Tickets for the prize draw are just £1 per ticket for adults and 50p for children under 11.

The ‘Whisky Galore’ stall provides the opportunity to win bottles of spirits and there will be stalls selling a variety of items, including cakes, plants, books, children’s toys and bric-a-brac.

And there will be hot dogs and burgers on offer from the barbecue, cream and jam scones, tea, coffee and soft drinks and much more.

Event organiser Maggie Skinner said: “We’re very much looking forward to welcoming everyone to what promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable Saturday afternoon.”

Dogs are not permitted to the event.
