A POLICE cordon in Kidderminster has been lifted after the discovery of an unexploded device in an unoccupied property.
Officers were called to Ismere Way earlier this afternoon (Tuesday, July 7) following a report of the item being discovered in an unoccupied property.
Experts from Explosive Ordnance Disposal were called to the scene and a 100m cordon was put in place.
Residents within the cordon were evacuated and the public were asked to avoid the area.
The EOD team have since removed the item from the property and taken it away for safe disposal.
The cordon and road closures have now been lifted and residents are able to return to their homes.
