A MAN has died and another has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a small truck.
It happened between Bewdley and Stourport this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 10.23am to Ribbesford Road (B4194) and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and two aircrafts from Midlands Air Ambulance to the scene.
On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition, receiving CPR from firefighters.
Ambulance staff and medics immediately took over to administer advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.
The second driver, a man in his 40s, was treated for serious injuries and taken to Worcester Royal Hospital via ambulance for further treatment.
PC Chris Woolman said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died and the man who is injured.
“We would urge anyone who saw either vehicle, a red Vauxhall Astra which was travelling towards Stourport and a white Hilux 4×4 pick up which was travelling towards Bewdley to please contact us.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage to help us support our investigation into the collision.”
