POLICE are investigating an attempted burglary in Kidderminster and a burglary in Cookley in the space of a few hours.

In the attempted burglary, two men tried to steal a BMW from a property in Kidderminster.

The pair tried to get into the property on Lea Castle Drive between 7.10pm and 1.30am yesterday (Friday).

They appear to have been disturbed and fled on an electric bike.

No entry was gained to the property and nothing was stolen but damage was caused to a lock.

It is thought they were looking for the keys to a BMW.

Then between 2am and 2.15am yesterday (Friday) a home in Elm Place, Cookley was burgled.

The raiders gained entry by removing the lock to front door.  The only item taken were a set of car keys to a VW Polo.

One of the men was seen leaving on an electric bike.

Witnesses or anyone with information on the incident should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
