WYRE FOREST District Council have announced changer to bin collections over Christmas with households having collections two days earlier than normal.
Residents who would have their bins collected on December 25 will now have a collection on the 23.
Collections due on December 26 will now take place on December 28 and the recycling collections which would normally be on January 1 2025 will be on December 30.
These are the only planned change to bin collections over the festive period.
The hub, the council’s customer service centre, will be closed from 5pm on Monday December 23 and phone lines will be open between 10am and 4pm on December 27 and 30.
Phone lines for enquiries about rubbish and recycling collections are open between 9am and 3pm on December 24, 27, 28, 30 and 31.
The hub is set to reopen at 9am on January 2 next year.
Anyone who is homeless or in an emergency homeless situation while the council is closed can call 01562 732225.
Wyre Forest District Council’s website: wyreforestdc.gov.uk and My Wyre Forest mobile app and web portal are all available 24 hours, seven days a week.
Free festive parking is available from Monday to Friday between 3pm to 6pm in all council owned car parks in the district.
This offer runs from December 2 to 24.
Bewdley Museum closes its doors at 4.30pm on December 23 (last admission 4pm) and the shop and Shambles walkway reopens on February 1 2025.
The museum will fully reopen on March 1 2025. The café closes on December 22 and reopens on February 17.
Worcestershire Regulatory Services’ phone lines will be closed on December 25, 26 and 27 and January 1 2025.
The phoneline for reporting stray dogs will be open on December 27.
Household recycling centres in the district, managed by Worcestershire County Council, will be closed for three days: Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
