AN SGM GROUP based in Kidderminster is now offering a vocal health supplement for people who rely on their voice.

VitaVoice was launched in the UK, 18 months ago and was made possible through the support grant innovation Worcestershire scheme.

Director Scott Garrett, alongside business partners Carrie and Jack, identified a major gap in the market, they worked with nutritionists and clinical experts to create a product that enhanced vocal performance.

VitaVoice was met with immediate success, earning endorsements from high-profile figures including cast members from EastEnders and performers from Frozen: The Musical.

Councillor Adam Kent, cabinet member with economy and skills said: “SGM Group’s work with VitaVoice is a fantastic example of how innovation can drive local business success and help our creative industries thrive.

“By identifying a niche market and developing a unique product, they’ve shown how Worcestershire businesses can lead the way in specialist sectors.

“We’re proud to support their journey through the Innovation Worcestershire grant, helping them bring their products to a global audience and boosting the local economy in the process.”

Scott added: “Promoting vocal health is at the heart of what we do. To expand into markets like Germany, we had to reformulate our product to comply with EU regulations, which is what we’ve used the Innovation Worcestershire grant for – developing the new formula.

“The innovation support and grant has helped us to develop our holistic approach to vocal care. Since receiving the grant, we have launched more products such as VitaBeat a copper warming patch for joint care and bespoke performance and recovery tea for vocal cords.”

The grant equips businesses with the resources to embrace innovation, develop new products, and stay ahead of the competition.
