Brave parcel delivery driver targeted by thieves in Stourport

Kidderminster Editorial 18th Dec, 2024

A DELIVERY van was targeted in Stourport yesterday on Monday evening.

A driver was delivering parcels in Hermitage Way around 5.17pm and had parked his white VW Crafter van while making a drop.

When he returned to his vehicle, two men were in the front cab and made off in the van after seeing the driver coming back.

He gave chase and managed to climb into the back of the vehicle, but the thieves then drove to a layby on Larford Lane where they abandoned the van and made off with several parcels.

The driver gave chase again and managed to tackle one of the offenders to the floor retrieving several parcels before they made off again.

One of the men was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black hoody and the other one was in grey tracksuit bottoms and a black hoody. Both had scarves or snoods covering their faces and local accents.
