CHANGES have been made to the cabinet of Wyre Forest District Council with Coun Chris Rogers being handed a new position.
Coun Rogers will serve as the Cabinet Member for Housing, Health and Wellbeing, replacing Coun Ian Hardiman who is stepping down from the Cabinet.
Coun Marcus Hart, Wyre Forest District Council leader, said: “I am delighted Coun Chris Rogers is rejoining the cabinet, having previously served as cabinet member.”
Coun Rogers was the cabinet member for housing, health and wellbeing from February 2017 to July 2018 and cabinet member for economic regeneration and planning from August 2018 to May 2019.
Coun Hart added: “He is a very experienced member of the council, having also served twice as chairman and as chairman of Worcestershire County Council.
“I am looking forward to his contribution to the work of the cabinet.”
On the outgoing cabinet member, Coun Hart added: “I would also like to pay tribute to Coun Ian Hardiman for his loyal and diligent service as a member of the cabinet.”
Coun Hardiman served in a variety of roles between 2012 and 2014, 2015 and 2019 and again from last year. For five years he served as Deputy Leader of the Council. I shall remain grateful to him for his dedication and support.”
