SNOW has been forecast for Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport by the Met Office which has placed weather warning on the whole of England for the next three days.
A yellow warning is in place for today before it becomes amber – the more severe – tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday, January 5.
According to the forecast, snow will begin to fall around 7pm on Saturday and continue into the early hours of Sunday before winter showers of snow and sleet fall across the county.
There could be disruption to public transport – road and rail – and anyone travelling is urged to allow more time for their journeys.
Gritters out
Worcestershire County Council will be sending out its gritting teams tomorrow as temperatures are set to drop to a low of – 5.2 °C.
People are urged to only travel if completely necessary.

The council says there will be plenty of salt on the network from the last two treatments. Decision makers will monitor temperatures overnight via remote stations across the county and inspectors will be out at midnight to ensure the road network is in good condition.
Vulnerable people
This spell of cold weather is a particular risk to those aged 65+ and some other vulnerable groups, such as those sleeping rough and those with long-term health conditions.
Worcestershire County Council is urging people to ‘do their bit’ and check on family members, friends and neighbours who may be at higher risk of becoming unwell.
