Kidderminster Editorial 16th Jan, 2025 Updated: 16th Jan, 2025

A VET PRACTICE in Kidderminster will be giving people the chance to ‘look behind the scenes’ at a special open day this Saturday, January 18, writes May-Ling Turner.

The £1.5million Maggie and Marlow practice opened in November at Prospect House in Lion Square.

People of all ages are welcome to Saturday’s family-friendly event which takes place between 12pm and 3pm.

Plenty of activities

Visitors will be able to enjoy many activities and there will be a chance to win a dog or cat hamper with treats and toys.

A dog bandage station for children and goodie bags will also be on offer.

People will have the opportunity to explore behind the scenes, including seeing x-rays and microscopes.

They will learn how the vet practice looks after poorly pets.

Rhiannon Cartwright, practice manager and registered vet nurse, said: “We’re dedicated to supporting and helping to educate our local community.”

What the practice offers

The practice includes five consulting rooms, two surgical theatres, its own laboratory and dental sections, X-ray and ultrasound suites.

The team focuses on preventative care through services, such as weight clinics, dental care and value for money pet health plans.

Clients can also access a free 24/7 app, offering advice from qualified vets, customised articles and an online appointment booking system.

Visit maggieandmarlow.co.uk for more information on the open day and the practice or visit the Maggie and Marlow Facebook page.
