MARCIO Adonis scored a late winner on debut as Bewdley Town came from behind to beat higher-division Sporting Club Inkberrow 2-1 in the Marsh Challenge Cup.

Adonis struck three minutes from time after Elliott Lees drew the home side level before the break at Ribbesford Meadows.

The victory sends Bewdley into the quarter-finals of the competition where they will play Ludlow Town.

An early goal from Louis Crook put Hellenic League Premier Division side Inkberrow into the lead.

However, Lees drew the home side level soon after to send the teams into the break all square.

And debutant Adonis completed the turnaround on 87 minutes to send the hosts into the last eight.

Bewdley are next in action against Newent Town on Saturday, February 8 with kick-off at 3pm at Ribbesford Meadows.
