Police thank public for help as man is arrested over criminal damage in Stourport

POLICE in Stourport have thanked the public for their help after a man was arrested following an incident on Tuesday.

He was held on suspicion of criminal damage and a public order offence following reports of an incident in Stourport.

Officers from Stourport Police Safer Neighbourhood Team were supported by officers from Kidderminster responded to the call.

Officers say it was thanks to information received from members of the public, that led to the man being swiftly apprehended and arrested. And they added, enquiries are ongoing.

PC Mark Bennett from Stourport Safer Neighbourhood Team said “We would like to thank members of the public who were instrumental in helping us apprehend the male.

“Information from the public is a vital part of policing and this is just one example of how we can work together effectively.”
