A CAT at Bromsgrove’s Blue Cross is featured on a billboard in Birmingham city centre as part of a new campaign to find homes for rescued animals.
The charity has teamed up with Universal Pictures which brought out DreamWorks Animation’s Dog Man in cinemas across the country last Friday.
As part of that campaign, pets currently looking for homes are being featured on billboards in several city centres, including Birmingham, Leeds, Cardiff, Southampton and Manchester.
Three-year-old Klaus is shy and needs patient new owners who will give him time to settle into his new home.
Staff say they will be rewarded with a good fuss once he has found his paws as he can be a very affectionate boy.
What Klaus needs
Klaus is looking to be the only pet in his new home. He could live with teenage children that would help him settle into his home and form a bond with him, but ideally would be looking for a quiet home without too many comings and goings.
The campaign comes as the Blue Cross has recorded a 29 per cent increase in pets entering its care over the last year.
The charity’s centres across the UK find homes for dogs, cats, small animals and horses.
Alyson Jones, the Blue Cross’ director of rehoming and fostering, said: “We know pets are part of the family and they are our heroes in many ways.
“Not just dogs but cats, small animals, horses – they can all provide love and companionship and so much more to their owners.
“We’d urge anyone thinking of taking on a pet to choose rescue as we have so many looking for loving new homes and with
Valentine’s Day coming up there’s never been a better time to find your paw-fect match.”
