KIDDERMINSTER Harriers dropped out of the play-off places following a 3-1 home defeat against Spennymoor Town.
An early goal from Olly Dyson and Glen Taylor brace condemned Harriers to a fourth straight home defeat in all competitions at Aggborough.
Harriers kept themselves in the contest courtesy of a strike from Ashley Hemmings only for Taylor to score one minute from time and end the home side’s hopes of completing a late comeback.
And the result means Kidderminster sit eighth in the National League North table, one point outside of the play-off places.
Spennymoor broke the deadlock when Dyson headed in a free-kick from the right from six-yards out just 61 seconds into the contest.
And Taylor doubled the away side’s lead from the penalty spot on 51 minutes after Kam Kandola committed a foul in the box.
Harriers halved the deficit on 80 minutes when Hemmings saw his shot from distance deflect past Spennymoor goalkeeper Brad James.
However, Taylor restored Spennymoor’s two-goal cushion on 89 minutes when he pounced on a stray pass and coolly lifted the ball over an onrushing Christian Dibble.
Kidderminster are next in action against King’s Lynn Town on Tuesday, February 25 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Aggborough.
