A MAN from Kidderminster has been sentenced to 43 weeks for assaulting police officers and breaching his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
Perry Lowell, 35, of no fixed abode, was handed the term at Kidderminster Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday, March 17) following his arrest on Saturday.
Lowell was reported to have breached the terms of his CBO on Saturday and while officers were trying to arrest him. They found a letter with an attached bank debit card in his pocket that did not belong to him.
He resisted arrest and used threatening language which also breached of his CBO. He assaulted officers by swinging punches and spitting and kicking at them.
Lowell was convicted of a breach of his CBO, obstructing or resisting a constable in the execution of duty, common assault of an emergency worker and a postal services offence of incorrectly opening a delivered postal packet. He was sentenced to 43 weeks.
