KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have paid tribute to former Aggborough Stadium announcer and DJ Roger Harris who has died aged 79.
Harris, known to a generation of Harriers fans as ‘Captain Crazy’, was a stadium announcer at Aggborough for many years, most notably in the 1990s.
He was also a stadium announcer at Worcester City.
The club posted on X: “Harriers are saddened to hear of the recent passing of Roger Harris, better known to a generation of fans as Captain Crazy, Aggborough Stadium’s announcer for many years, notably in the 1990s.
“Known for his incomparable style and humour, today would’ve been his 80th birthday
“Our thoughts and best wishes are with his friends and loved ones. Thank you for the many memories, Captain!”
