BEWDLEY CC started the season with a comfortable 133-run victory against Barnards Green 2nds.
The visitors finished on 220-6 from their 50 overs and skittled their opponents for just 87 in replay in Malvern.
And the result means Bewdley sit second in the Worcestershire County League Division One table after taking 20 points from the fixture.
Barnards Green won the toss and elected to field as Bewdley opener Luke Corrigan (0) fell for a duck at the end of the first over.
A superb knock from Jamie Boyle (90), supported by Nick Wilkinson (23) and Rob Combes (24) helped Bewdley reach 190-5.
And useful contributions from Michael Harris (21) and also Tom Odell (16 not out) saw the visitors close on 220-6.
Bewdley made a blistering start with the ball as the away side restricted Barnards Green to 22-4 early in their reply.
Barnards Green’s middle order briefly steadied the ship before another flurry of late wickets saw the home side lose their final five wickets for the addition of just 17 runs.
Jack Mills (4-9) starred with the ball while Sam Wilson (2-11), Odell (2-17) and Combes (2-23) all took two wickets apiece.
Bewdley are next in action against Bromyard on Saturday, April 26 with the game to start at 12pm at Lower Park.
