Mayor of Kidderminster sends Harriers 'good luck' letter ahead of Southport clash

THE MAYOR of Kidderminster has sent an official message of support to Harriers ahead of their potential crucial season-defining match against Southport FC.

The letter, by Coun George Connolly, was addressed to the players, management, staff, and supporters of the club.

In his letter, he said he wrote with ‘great pride and admiration’ to ‘wish them the very best’.

He added: “This is truly a significant moment for the club and one that carries the potential to secure the National League North title and etch a new and glorious chapter in the history of Kidderminster Harriers.

“Your journey this season has been one of hard work, resilience, and remarkable teamwork.

“Week after week you have carried the hopes of our town and represented Kidderminster with distinction and passion.




“The possibility of lifting the league trophy is not just a sporting achievement, it is a moment that unites our community in pride and anticipation.

“You have already brought so much you to supporters and residents alike and we are all incredibly proud of what you have accomplished.


“As you prepare for this decisive match at Southport, know that the thoughts of the whole town are with you. From life-long supporters to those newly inspired by your achievements, the whole of Kidderminster stands behind you.

“On behalf of the people of Kidderminster, I thank you for your efforts, your spirit and the exemplary way you have represented our town.

“We wish you every success on the day – and hope to see the title come home to Aggborough.
