KIDDERMINSTER Harriers Women lifted the WFA Women’s Sunday Cup after storming to a 6-0 victory against Worcester City Reserves in the final.

A brace from Millie Rogers and further goals from Amber Lawrence, Pheobe Hill, Alex Nicklin and Mia Badland saw Harriers claim the trophy at Claines Lane.

Harriers thrashed Bromsgrove Sporting 6-0 before then beating Worcester City’s first team 2-1 to reach the final.

Kidderminster went close early on as Lawrence chipped the ball inches over the crossbar before Rogers saw her effort travel narrowly over the angle of bar and post.

However, Rogers broke the deadlock moments later on 13 minutes as she held off two defenders before finding the bottom corner.

And Harriers doubled their lead on 36 minutes as Rogers scored her second of the game after rounding the Worcester goalkeeper before finishing into an empty net.

Kidderminster stretched their lead five minutes before half time when captain Lawrence drew out the keeper before finding the net from Izzie Whittick’s first time pass.

And Harriers had one hand on the trophy five minutes after the break as substitute Hill touched home Whittick’s cross from a free-kick.

Harriers made it five on the hour mark when Nicklin curled a fine effort into the corner from distance.

And Badland completed the scoring on 75 minutes when she headed in Chiara Stokes’ cross from the left at the near post.

Harriers are chasing a league and cup double this season with the club currently second in the West Midlands Regional League Premier Division table.

However, Kidderminster have two games in hand on leaders Lye Town who they trail by four points.

Harriers Women are next in action against Burton Albion on Sunday, May 4 with kick-off at 2pm at the Pirelli Stadium.
