Severns Club in Stourport to host charity craft fayre on bank holiday Monday

Tristan Harris 22nd May, 2025

THERE will be more than 20 local independent stalls at a charity craft fayre being held from 11am to 4pm on bank holiday Monday, May 26.

The event at the Severns Club in Stourport will feature a variety of wares, including R&R Creations, Ray’s Bakehouse, Bewdley Spirits, Dave’s Designs, Wooden and Woolen and Felted Frippery.

Everything on offer is hand-made by talented crafters. Among the items will be upcycled wooden toys and trinkets, 3D printing, upcycled lamps, knitted toys, handmade clocks and pens, felted animals, needlecraft, Macrame, artwork and much more

Admission to the event is free and there will be a tombola to raise funds for research into Amyloidosis, which is a group of rare conditions where a protein called amyloid builds up in the body. It can affect organs such as your heart, kidneys, liver, nerves or digestive system. It cannot be cured, but there are treatments that may help with symptoms.

Ray’s Bakehouse will also be donating a percentage of its profits to the cause and R&R Creations are donating handmade products for sale with the revenue going to the charity.

An appeal has been launched for items for the tombola – these can be dropped off in a collection box at the Severns Club.

This event marks the first year anniversary of the Severns Craft Fayres and all the creators are all really excited to be back again.

Rachel, from Ray’s Bakehouse, said: “The event is free and it is always a really lovely atmosphere. We have always had lots of comments on how much visitors have enjoyed themselves at previous events.

“The more support we get for this event, the more money we can raise and the more research can be done into Amyloidosis.”
