A NEW play area at Broadwaters Mills Park was officially opened by Mayor of Kidderminster, Coun Doug Hine, last Friday.
The Broadwaters Dingle Play Park’s unveiling fittingly coincided with the May half-term and will now provide an exciting environment for children and families to enjoy.

The area boasts new equipment and a fresh design, providing a wonderful community spot for fun, play and making memories.
A Kidderminster Town Council spokesperson said: “The stunning floral arrangements are lovingly maintained by the Friends of Broadwaters Mill Park – a huge thank you once again for all your hard work and dedication in keeping the park looking its best all year round.
“Your efforts are truly appreciated by the whole community.
“A special thank you to Adam Carrigan for kindly providing the wonderful photos from the day.
“It was a fantastic community occasion – thank you to everyone who came along to show their support.”

Coun Hine said he was delighted to have been given the chance to open the play area.
“We’ve called it Broadwaters Dingle, which means a a deep wooded valley or dell.
“It has been creatively put together by our parks and services team and I hope the children of the area enjoy it for many years to come.
“I am particularly happy to see some inclusive play equipment installed so people of all abilities can use them.”
