AFTER yesterday’s Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run, we asked you to send in your pictures of the day.
The event – organised by Worcestershire County Council’s Public Health Team and sponsored by David Lloyd fitness centres – was bigger and better than ever this year with 750 runners.

The number of runners was up by 150 on last year’s event.

Runners in both races took to the start line at 10am on a warm – but not too hot – day.

There were fears the weather could have been much hotter after the previous days.

The course began and ended in Wythall Park.

It took runners around the streets of the leafy village.

As well as the runners, crowds turned out to take part in a host of activities being held throughout the day and also to cheer on the participants.

Outside homes along the route, residents also came out with signs to inspire the runners and cheered them on.

A group of volunteers also played an important role by helping to marshall the races and ensure the day went smoothly.

Runners from many clubs across the Midlands and further afield took part.

Many of the runners complimented the organisers of the race on a fantastic day.
