UPDATE - Man in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a train at Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, yesterday

A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a train in Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, yesterday (Sunday).

West Midlands Ambulance were called to the incident near the tracks at 10.39am.

It sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer, the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and a Critical Care Car from Midlands Air Ambulance to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crews found a man with serious injuries.

He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.

The line between Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Worcester was shut for three hours while the emergency services dealt with the scene.




It was reopened just after 1.30pm.
