A FLAG raising ceremony took place in Kidderminster to commemorate Armed Forces Day.
Kidderminster Town Council said it was honoured to organise Wyre Forest’s Armed Forces flag flying service this year.

The occasion is dedicated to remembering, recognising, and honouring all those who have served and continue to serve in the Armed Forces.

The Mayor of Kidderminster, Coun Doug Hine, led the proceedings on June 23 and proudly raised the Armed Forces Flag as a symbol of the community’s united support and appreciation for those serving past and present.

Coun Hine said: “A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us to commemorate the start of Armed Forces Week by attending the Armed Forces Flag Flying Ceremony.
