A QUICKFIRE double in the second half helped Stourport Swifts to a 2-1 victory against Romulus.
Goals from Connor Deards and Kai Adams at Walshes Meadow earned Stourport back-to-back wins in the league for the first time since August.
The result means the Swifts sit fifth in the Midland Football League Premier Division table.
Deards opened the scoring on 71 minutes when he tapped home from close range after Romulus failed to cut out a ball in from the right.
And Adams doubled Stourport’s lead five minutes later after the Romulus goalkeeper could only parry an initial shot into the scorer’s path.
Romulus halved the deficit when Isai Marselia found the net but Swifts held on to claim another three points.
Stourport are next in action against Stourbridge in the Worcestershire Senior Cup on Tuesday, October 8 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Walshes Meadow.
