Fun for all at Kidderminster Canal and Food Festival this weekend

THE NEXT Kidderminster Canal and Food Festival takes place this weekend.

The event – which is free to attend with no tickets required – will take place at Weaver’s Wharf from 10am to 7pm tomorrow (Saturday) and between 10am to 5pm on Sunday (July 19 and 20).

As well as street food, sweet treats, cocktails and craft ales, there will also be an artisan market, family funfair rides, face-painting and an arts and crafts bus.

There will also be roaming characters and a butterfly stilt walker blowing bubbles.

And there will be live music from a host of artists, including tribute acts to Queen, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars and reggae and motown performers.

And local legends RetsecroWs and Kev Donaldson will take to the stage.

The action-packed event – hosted by FAB Food Fest with Kidderminster BID – will offer something for all the family.

More events for the town will soon be announced by the Kidderminster BID during what promises to be an exciting year ahead.

Coffee and cake

To coincide with the canal festival, St Mary and All Saints Church will be serving coffee and cakes from 10am to 2pm tomorrow (Saturday).

Entry is free but donations towards the upkeep of the building, which is deemed ‘Kidderminster’s Greatest Treasure’ would be gratefully received.

And everyone is welcome to the church’s service at 11am on Sunday.
