A Cinderella story coming to Bromsgrove for theatre group's Christmas pantomime

THERE will be magic in the air when Bromsgrove and Redditch theatre group All and Sundry stages its annual pantomime which this year is ‘Cinderella’.

The traditional Christmas show will bring fantastic fun for all the family to Bromsgrove School’s Cobham Theatre.

This will include plenty of comedy – from corny one-liners to outrageous slapstick, toe-tapping singalong songs, dance routines and, of course, bucket-loads of audience participation.

All and Sundry has been staging its annual pantomimes for more than 20 years and, following this year’s auditions, the special guest has been revealed – the Standard’s editor Tristan Harris

will take up the iconic role of Buttons, the servant and close friend of Cinderella.

The story centres on Cinderella who is mistreated by her cruel stepmother, the Baroness, and her two ugly sisters.

To find himself the perfect suitor, Prince Charming, assisted by his friend Dandini, is holding a royal ball that every eligible woman wants to attend.

Cinderella must go to the ball but evil forces have other ideas and will try to prevent her from doing so.

Help is at hand through the fairy godmother who will try, willed on by the audience, to make sure Cinders does go to the ball.

Can good triumph over evil?

Performances take place between December 13 and 18 and from December 18 to 23.
