HUNDREDS of people immersed themselves in classic cars and vintage vehicles at the Severn Valley Railway’s latest event.
The much-loved Vintage Transport Extravaganza took place on Saturday and Sunday just weeks after the railway proudly reopened its full 16.5-mile route from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth.

At the event, billed as one of the most exciting and nostalgic events of the summer holidays, enabled visitors to travel behind beautifully restored steam and diesel locomotives.
They could hop off at stations along the line to explore a stunning collection of vintage vehicles.
The line-up boasted timeless motorcars and motorcycles, gleaming buses, tractors, lorries and more.

Lewis Maddox, the SVR’s visitor engagement manager, said “The Vintage Transport Extravaganza is one of our popular annual events.
“This year included a variety of classic vehicles from all eras, on display at our stations along the line, and vintage bus rides from Bridgnorth Station for the first time.
“Over the two days the event was enjoyed by hundreds of people admiring and enjoying seeing vintage classics in the setting of a heritage railway, providing a great nostalgic atmosphere.”
