A MAN was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Dudley Street, Kidderminster, last night (Saturday)
The attack happened around 6.10pm – police received reports of an assault in Pizza Lounge. When officers arrived one man had been stabbed outside the takeaway.
The 28-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
Officers arrested four men, aged 18, 34, 35 and 37, on suspicion of wounding with intent.
Det Ch Insp Emma Whitworth said: “I would firstly like to reassure the local community that we believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no wider threat.”
She added she knew the news could be extremely alarming but urged people to be assured a thorough investigation was under way.
“Acts of such violence are not welcome in our communities, and I ask that people who may have seen the incident happen or have any information that would help with our investigation to please come forward.”
