REVIEW: Go Ape at Sundown in Wyre Forest

For a couple who are always in the woods, the Go Ape at Sundown in Wyre Forest was the perfect date night activity for me and my partner.

We both love autumn, when we arrived, the forest was lit only by soft ambient lights and it felt magical and mysterious!

The idea of tackling high ropes and zip wires after dark definitely added a new level of excitement (and fear) compared to doing it in the daytime.

I tried my utmost best to stay cool but when I was up in the trees I can strongly say I did not manage it.

Climbing up the trees, crossing the wobbly bridges, and launching ourselves down the zip lines in near-darkness was thrilling, though there were definitely moments where our hearts were in our throats.

The staff were fantastic – friendly, helpful, and their reassurance made us feel safe and gave us the push we needed to keep going.

One of the highlights was the final zip line, soaring through the trees with only the forest canopy lit up around us. It was breathtaking and a perfect way to end the evening.

We both laughed and screamed throughout the course, and by the end, we were exhausted.

It was the perfect blend of fun and fear – definitely not for the faint-hearted, but if you’re up for a challenge, it’s well worth it.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nighttime adventure with a thrilling twist this spooky season!
