A Christmas message from Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier

A CHRISTMAS message from Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier.

“Christmas! A great time to reflect on the year. And it’s been good for us locally.

“A few projects, financed and started before last year’s election, have come to fruition. Bewdley now has its flood defences. Kidderminster has its newly refurbished magistrates court business hub, and the recently opened Town Hall performing arts venue (one of the best in the region).

“The Piano Building will soon be a town centre night life centre, and the new park will open next year.

“And for the future, plans are underway to regenerate Stourport.

“But at this time of reflection and joy (and a bit of overindulgence) it is a good to time to remember all those who look after us.

“From front line emergency services to the people who keep our streets and open spaces tidy – especially those who will be working over the Christmas break – we are all hugely grateful to what they do. So, from me, and from all of us, a huge thank you to those public sector workers who look after us.

“Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.”
