Kidderminster Specsavers staff raise £3,000 to help families in need this Christmas

Tristan Harris 23rd Dec, 2025

EMPLOYEES from three Specsavers manufacturing and distribution sites based in Kidderminster have raised more than £3,000 to help local families this festive season.

The team at International Glazing Services (IGS) pledged to support Home Start Wyre Forest (HSWF). Staff members voted to forgo their traditional Secret Santa exchange and donate the money to charity instead.

The scheme, combined with a festive raffle and a toy drive involving IGS, along with Lens Online and Vision Labs, will see the businesses donate £3,330 to HSWF. The charity supports parents with young children in Wyre Forest.

Debbie Shaw, the night shift leader at IGS, said: “We wanted to do something this Christmas that would make a difference to families in our community.

“I want to say a huge thank you to all our teams for their generosity.

“Raising more than £3,000 is a huge achievement and we know how much HSWF will benefit from our support.”

Home-Start Wyre Forest is a family support organisation delivering friendship and support to parents with young children in the district.

Offering a unique service delivered by trained and supported local volunteers, HSWF visit families at home to offer informal, friendly and confidential support.
