BEWDLEY Festival has joined forces with a local artist to launch a new competition with multiple prizes.

On Saturday October 26, visitors will have the chance to take part in ‘Paint the Day’ at Wyre Forest with artist Sarah Stokes.

Taking place at St. George’s Hall, Load Street, people are encouraged to arrive between 8.30am and 9.30am.

Those taking part can paint the forest scenery, wildlife, architecture or the sight of people going about their day.

All media is accepted, from watercolour to oil, from collage to digital, from photographic to mixed media, from acrylic to graphite.

The artwork needs to be framed and returned to the Hall by 4pm, so the tea can hang it up at the exhibition from October 28 to November 2.

On November 2 there will be a prize giving and award ceremony at 3pm for the best in show.

Prizes include £50 for the top-voted work and painting sets kindly donated by Winsor and Newton.
