A PRODUCTION of the ‘Demon Barber’ will be heading to Birmingham’s Crescent Theatre next week.
Bournville Musical Theatre Company’s Sweeney Todd The Musical runs at the venue from Tuesday to Saturday (May 20 to 24).
The show is a dark, thrilling tale of vengeance set in 19th-century London.
The story follows Sweeney Todd, a barber unjustly exiled, who returns to seek revenge on the corrupt judge who ruined his life.
He strikes up a partnership with Mrs Lovett, the owner of a failing pie shop, who find out they can both help each other out.
Todd’s murderous spree leads to a macabre success when human flesh becomes the secret ingredient in her pies.
This Tony Award-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim combines chilling music, gripping drama, and dark humor, captivating audiences worldwide with its intense themes and unforgettable performances.
Thursday’s Performance will be signed by a BSL interpreter.
Shows are at 7.30pm each evening and there is a 2.30pm matinee on the Saturday.
