AS BRITS get ready to heat their pans and mix their batter for Shrove Tuesday tomorrow (March 4), a poll has revealed the UK’s top ten pancake topping.
It will come as no surprise to people that the ‘age old favourite’ lemon juice and sugar tops the list – a total of 34 per cent of people put that as their ‘go to’ filling.
In joint second is honey or maple syrup which were both labelled the number one choice by eight per cent of those quizzed.
They were closely followed by the joint third suggestions of Nutella or chocolate chip, the preferred option of seven per cent of people.
The figures come from Circulon which quizzed 2,000 UK adults last pancake day to see what they had consumed.
