A NUMBER of roads in Bewdley town centre are set to have 20mph speeding restrictions on them from April 3.
The new 20mph zone is being imposed by Worcestershire County Council in a bid to make roads in the area safer.
The roads which will be 20mph from April 3
B4190 Winbrook and Welch Gate from its junction with Load Street to a point 81 metres north west of its junction with Sandy Bank.
Welch Gate to a point 33 metres south of its junction with Venus Bank.
The B4194 Dowles Road – from its junction with the northern-most junction with Dog Lane for a distance of 15 metres to the north.
Dog Lane for its entire length.
The B4190 Load Street for its entire length.
Severn Side North for its entire length.
Severn Side South for its entire length.
Sandy Bank from its junction with Welch Gate for a distance of 7.5 metres to the west.
Park Lane from its junction with Load Street for a distance of 16.5 metres in to the south-west.
Lax Lane for its entire length.
B4190 Beales Corner – from its junction with Load Street to a point 35 metres northwest of its junction with B4195 Stourport Road.
The B4194 High Street, Lower Park and Red Hill from its junction with Load Street to a point 141metres south of its junction with Lax Lane.
There are exemptions in the order for emergency services vehicles.
