OLDER PEOPLE from the Wyre Forest community can take part in a series of events of groups and activities throughout October.
Wyre Forest District Council have organised the event in partnership with Age UK and Simply Limitless.
The showcases allow people to find out more about healthy living, finances, benefits and local services.
Three event are scheduled across the district between 10am and 12pm.
The first will take place on October 10, at St Anne’s Church, Bewdley, the second event will be on October 17 at The Civic, Stourport, and the final showcase will take place on October 22, at the KDYT Hall, Kidderminster.
A range of organisations will attend the events, including Citizens Advice, Act on Energy, Millbrook Healthcare and West Mercia Police.
The Council’s financial inclusion and disabled facilities grants officers will also be on hand to talk to residents about options and services available to them.
Coun Chris Rogers, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for housing, health and wellbeing said: “We are pleased to be bringing our showcases back to the district this autumn.
“They are a great opportunity for residents over 50 and those who have retired to find out what services are available to them.
“Whether you want to become a volunteer with a local organisation, or join a group activity, the showcase is a fantastic way to get involved with something meaningful and make new connections.”
