CITIZEN’S Advice Wyre Forest is happy to be link up with the Kidderminster Standard and we look forward to using this opportunity to keep people up to date with what we are doing and how we’re helping people.

Citizens Advice Wyre Forest is a local, independent advice charity providing impartial information, support and advice for anyone who needs it and we are proud to support our local community through life’s many challenges.

Whether someone is facing debt, housing problems, benefit issues or concerns at work, our dedicated team of staff and volunteers is here to help free of charge, confidentially and without judgment.

We believe everyone should have access to advice they can trust. That’s why we work tirelessly to ensure people across the Wyre Forest district can access support and advice helping them to find a way forward. From helping someone claim the benefits they are entitled to or challenging homelessness we offer a wide range of services tailored to local needs.

In the past year alone, Citizens Advice Wyre Forest has supported more than 5,000 clients across the district, dealing with more than 11,000 issues. The most common concerns locally being around benefits, tax credits, Universal Credit, debt management, charitable support and food banks, all reflecting the financial strain many families are still feeling.

Our support extends beyond crisis – we use clients’ stories anonymously to advocate and campaign for positive change that benefits everyone, so our work not only improves lives, it strengthens the wider community.

In many cases, we have been able to help people maximise their income, access emergency support or avoid legal action.

Last year alone, we helped clients secure more than £2million in income gains and write off £541,768 in unmanageable debt.

As a registered charity we rely on a combination of government funding, local partnerships, and community donations to keep our services running.

Whether you need advice, want to volunteer, or are interested in supporting us, we would love to hear from you.
