CONSULTATION - Kidderminster residents urged to have their say on the town

Tristan Harris 29th Oct, 2024

RESIDENTS across Kidderminster are being urged to have their say what is important to them as part of a consultation being undertaken by the town council.

The authority wants to know what people think about it and the services it provides.

The feedback will  help the council to shape its vision and budgets for the future and to improve the delivery of its services.

Coun George Connolly, the Kidderminster town mayor, said the council was entering an historic phase in its development.

“The town council was established in 2015 and next year we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary.

“Next year we will be reopening the Town Hall following a major refurbishment and transformation project and we are confident that it will be a fantastic asset for the town centre and the people of Kidderminster.”

In 2021, the town council took on the services and responsibilities for three of the parks in the town, St. George’s Park, Broadwater Park and Baxter Gardens.

‘Help shape Kidderminster for the next 10 years’

Coun Connolly added: “We have had great feedback from the general public and the Friends Groups that we work with in these parks and we are confident that our local focus has resulted in improved maintenance and facilities.

“After 10 years we think it is appropriate that we should consult the people of Kidderminster to get their views on how we have performed and their ideas as to where we might go over the next 10 years.”
