DURING THE festive period, free parking sessions will be available at all Wyre Forest District Council car parks.
From December 2 – 24, visitors to all council car parks will be able to park for free between 3pm until 6pm on weekdays.
Tickets are still required and any overpayments will not be refunded.
The festive parking offer is in addition to the free hour parking scheme the council is running in Batemans Yard Kidderminster, Gardners Meadow Bewedley, and Vale Road Stourport.
Councillor Ben Brookes, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for operational services said: “We’re encouraging residents to shop local this Christmas, support our towns and take advantage of our free parking during the festive season.
“If you use the schemes together you can get four hours of free parking on weekdays in long stay car parks and make a great start on your Christmas shopping while supporting local businesses.
“We hope that being able to park for free will save a bit of money – which all helps during the current pressure on household costs.”
